It was Jim's birthday in the month of October, so for his actual birthday we spent it in Seattle. As you can see from the picture , he received a birthday song and a fine elephant hat.
For my big surprise , he had to wait until we got back to Michigan. I had sent him a few e-mails to throw him off track suggesting we may be outside, etc. I told him I would pick him up and he should wear Jeans and a long black shirt(yes, there was method to my madness). I arrived at his house in jeans and a t-shirt as well. As we started to drive, I told him I wanted to make sure that he was a big Clint Black fan. You should have seen his face. Yes, Jim is not a country music fan. He explained his major distaste, but I still didn't let him off the hook for most of the drive until I informed him we were really going to the Redwings game and pulled out a Red wings Jersey and shirt for us to wear. Now that he was excited about.... and did the Wings give us a great game. They scored 2 in the first period, and went onto wing 5-1. Here are
some pictures of the events.
